Should We Teach Financial Literacy?
Wouldn't it be nice if we all had the opportunity to learn about finances while still in high school? Why not? It's a huge part of our lives, but how versant are we, truly, when it comes to understanding monetary risk and reward, beyond balancing our checkbooks? This article examines the topic, but finds we are not doing very much to become financially savvy in our American classrooms. Do you teach money matters? Should teachers even be responsible for this huge topic?
